UNESCO has sponsored Louis Geroge-Batier as part of its vast programme on the Silk Route. A large part of his work represented the silk maritime routes and fitted into the international programme perfectly.
Consequently the French Ministry of Culture added their sponsorship to that of UNESCO.
Followed by The French Ministry of the Sea and Ports and the Ministry of National Education. Since 1996 the totality of the Louis George-Batier exhibitions have benefited from these eminent sponsorships.
The collection will not be dispersed and will continue to allow the millions of visitors to visit the exhibitions every year and discover a beautiful universal marine epoch.
